Privacy Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Flouw Robotics collects when you use this website, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
In short: we collect what we need to sell you kits, run trainings and answer your questions; we don't sell your data or use ad trackers; and you can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your information.
Who we are
Flouw Robotics sells robotics kits and parts and runs robotics training in the Philippines. We decide how your personal information is used on this website, so we are the "personal information controller" under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
Address: 2-03A TSL Place, Aguinaldo Highway, Mendez Crossing East, City of Tagaytay, Cavite. For anything about your personal information, including the requests in section 8, contact our data protection officer at info@flouwrobotics.com or +63 908 357 6790.
What we collect and why
We only ask for what we need to do what you asked us to do.
You create an account: name, email, password (stored only as a scrambled hash we can't read). With "Continue with Google": the name, email and profile picture Google shares with us. Why: to sign you in and show your orders and training registrations.
You place an order: name, email, mobile number, delivery address, school or organization (if you give one), order notes, what you bought. Why: to process, deliver and support your order, and to send you updates about it.
You pay: payment method, amount, Maya's payment reference and receipt number (which may include the last 4 digits of a card). We never see or store full card numbers, CVV or wallet passwords; Maya handles those. Why: to confirm your payment and keep records for accounting and tax.
You register for a training: contact name, email, mobile, school or organization, and the names of the people attending, with their grade or year level if you choose to give it. Why: to hold your spots, prepare the session (for example, group by grade) and contact you about it.
You tick "Flouw may share photos" when registering: photos taken during the session that show the participants. Why: to share our work, for example on our Facebook page. Only for participants whose contact ticked the box; tell us any time and we stop using them.
You ask for a quotation, send a message or a product request: name, email, mobile, school or organization, and what you wrote. Why: to reply and prepare your quotation.
You use the site: two cookies (see section 6), your IP address and basic technical logs. Why: to keep your cart and sign-in, protect the site from abuse (for example, limiting repeated attempts) and fix problems.
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Our legal basis
To carry out our agreement with you: orders, payments, deliveries, training registrations, quotations and your account.
To follow the law: keeping sales and tax records, and answering lawful requests from authorities.
Our legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, preventing fraud and improving our service, in ways you would reasonably expect.
Your consent: for anything optional, such as asking to be told about new products. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
Maya (Maya Philippines): processes online payments.
Couriers: your name, mobile number and address, to deliver your order.
Resend: sends our emails (order and training updates, password resets).
Cloudflare: delivers the website securely and stores product images, uploaded files and our encrypted database backups.
DigitalOcean: hosts the server the website and its database run on.
Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.
These providers may store data outside the Philippines. We use providers that protect data to a standard comparable to Philippine law, and they may only use your information to provide their service to us. We also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Orders, payments and invoices: as long as Philippine tax and accounting laws require us to keep sales records.
Training registrations: for those same records if paid; otherwise up to 2 years after the session.
Your account: until you delete it (My Account → Delete my account) or ask us to. Order and registration records we must keep stay, without your name and contact details.
Messages, quotation and product requests: up to 2 years, unless they become an order.
Backups: deleted automatically after 7 days.
Cookies
We use only two cookies, both needed for the site to work:
Sign-in: keeps you signed in (up to 30 days, or until you sign out).
Cart (
flouw_cart): remembers your cart for up to 60 days, even if you aren't signed in.
Payment pages are on Maya's site, and "Continue with Google" opens Google's page; those follow Maya's and Google's own policies.
How we protect it
The whole site uses HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted.
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; we can't see them.
Card and wallet details are entered on Maya's secure page, never on ours.
Only authorized Flouw Robotics staff can see orders and registrations.
If a breach ever puts your information at real risk, we will tell you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:
Be informed about how your information is used (this page).
Access the information we have about you, and get a copy.
Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
Object to processing, and withdraw consent you gave.
Erasure or blocking of information that is no longer needed or was processed unlawfully.
Data portability: get your information in a commonly used format.
Damages, if you are harmed by inaccurate or unlawfully used information.
File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
To use any of these, email info@flouwrobotics.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will reply as soon as we can, within 30 days. If you have an account, you can also delete it yourself in My Account.
Children
Many of our training participants are students under 18. Their names and grade or year level are given by a parent, guardian, teacher or school, who confirms they may share them. We use this only to run the training. If you are under 18, you need your parent or guardian's permission to create an account or buy from us. If you believe a child gave us information without permission, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. See also our Terms of Use.
